About Keith Urban

Keith Urban is a New Zealand-born Australian-American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist renowned for blending rock influences with traditional country sounds. Born Keith Lionel Urban on October 26, 1967, in Whangarei, New Zealand, he moved to Australia as a child and relocated to Nashville in 1992 to pursue music professionally. Married to actress Nicole Kidman since 2006, he has won four Grammy Awards, multiple CMA Awards, and maintains a global fanbase through hits like “Somebody Like You” and “Kiss a Girl”.

Urban began performing young, winning talent shows in Australia by age eight and releasing his debut album there in 1991. After forming the band The Ranch in Nashville, which released a self-titled album in 1997, he went solo amid vocal health issues and substance abuse recovery. Breakthrough U.S. success came with his 1999 self-titled album, featuring the No. 1 hit “But for the Grace of God”.
